ACLA News: The Offseason Begins
Monday, August 26th, 1963: The doldrums are upon us. Baseball is officially over for another year and the tarp can go on the field one final time. Of course, there is still plenty of activity in Atlantic Coast League. There are roster and financial moves to be made. There is the endless speculation of who will end up where. Rumors, trades, firings, hirings and a joyful merry-go-round of action that will culminate with Opening Day.

You may now manually select the league award winners, the option is available in the league menu. If you want the AI to select the awards, simply ignore the option.
ACLA News: Playoffs begin
Sunday, August 11th, 1963: "Baseball is a marathon," or so the saying goes. But once the Atlantic Coast League playoffs start today, it's a sprint to the finish. One false move, one errant miscue, one pressure-packed flub will end your team's chances of winning the title. It could be over in a moment. On the other hand, one swing of the bat or a fastball blown by the last hitter could just as easily send your team parading down Main Street, hoisting a 24-carat gold-studded Coastal Cup trophy before an adoring crowd. The contending ballclubs are all poised and ready -- the playoffs begin today with several Coastal Cup showdowns:
Huntsville Crawfish versus West Union Black Sox.

It takes a lot of talent and sometimes a little luck to bring home the Coastal Cup trophy.
